Community Builders Allowable Use

AFNix provides a set of community builder machines to contributors who need powerful remote-accessible hardware to better succeed in their work on AFNix or AFNix hosted projects.

The following rules apply to the use of these community builder resources:

• Access is granted to individual users on a case-by-case basis and is not to be shared with other users without explicit authorization by the AFNix Board.

• Access to community builders can be revoked by the AFNix Board for any reason at any time. It comes with no guarantee of future availability of the service.

• Community builders are not designed to be secure. Anything built on community builders machines should be considered compromised, and any data transferred to community builders should be considered public.

  • This is however not an implicit permission to act maliciously. Actions will be taken against anyone deliberately causing trouble and/or abusing their access.

• These resources are provided by AFNix to support its hosted projects. Using the community builders for work on other non-AFNix projects is discouraged and might result in access revocation if no prior authorization was received from the AFNix Board.

• Activity on community builders may be logged and monitored for the purpose of ensuring security and preventing abuse of the infrastructure.
